DaSH Global also provides bespoke research in the set-up, implementation & delivery of real-world studies to enhance the reimbursement & regulatory approval of new medicines.

ANDREW TURNER

Founder and CEO

Over 20 years’ experience in consulting, design, implementation and interpretation of non-interventional observational studies. Providing in-depth understanding of the application of real-world evidence as part of the value demonstration process at both a global and local level throughout the product lifecycle.

Previous to DaSH Global Andrew set up the real-world evidence capability at McCann Complete Medical, (Complete True Life), where he commenced his engagement in real-world digital transformation strategies, working specifically on the linkage & integration of national healthcare data. Previous to that he headed up Commercial Strategy at Adelphi Real World for 12 years.

Andrew has experience in working with data from secondary datasets, (administrational data, national ERM’s and academic disease/product registries) and has undertaken all types of primary observational research studies, (prospective, retrospective, cross-sectional, longitudinal).


Andrew works with international experts in the fields of Real-World Evidence, Digital Transformation, Health Economics & Outcomes Research, Epidemiology, Healthcare Informatics, Statistics & Marketing Insights.

LEE WEMYSS

Founder and CTO

Lee has over 25 years’ healthcare experience as a Management Consultant and specialises in providing business and performance improvement in health delivery by leveraging information and emerging  technologies such as AI, Predictive Risk. 

 

Lee has held senior positions for IBM Consulting, was an Associate Director for Tribal Consulting (bought by CAPITA), was Director of Commissioning Solutions for Bupa Health Dialog,  and for over 5 years Lee was a founding director of a start-up technology and HEOR consultancy HCD Economics.  Lee trained and practiced as an engineer for 10 years and throughout his career has developed software solutions for industry, including the NHS, structural engineering firm Ove Arup, and for  British Aerospace Systems.

 

Over the last two decades Lee has provided planning, systems re-engineering, software models and evidence based consulting services to the Department of Health, NHS Providers as well as Pharma and Health Technology companies.

JULIE CROSSAN

Communications

Julie has over 20 years of marketing communications experience, working across a variety of sectors including finance, digital, media, healthcare and charity. She has held senior positions at the Financial Times, NatWest Bank, JPMorgan Chase before focusing on the charitable and health and wellbeing sectors.

Julie has headed up marketing teams responsible for developing and launching brands nationally and delivering strategic multimedia marketing campaigns to help promote and grow businesses to achieve their objectives. Most recently her work has involved a more entrepreneurial and consultative approach, to help growing businesses and assist emerging brands to build their profile and reach.

CATHERINE FENSOM

Integration Director

Catherine, a senior oncology nurse, has a wealth of experience delivering first-class cancer services.

 

Having qualified as a nurse in 1997, she started in cancer services at East Cheshire NHS Trust in 2003 and has held several different oncology roles over the last 20 years working for both East Cheshire NHS Trust and The Christie Foundation NHS Trust in the past. Her roles have included Macmillan Project Manager, Matron for Oncology and Lead Cancer Nurse. Most recently Catherine worked as Operational Management Lead, The Christie at Macclesfield, a world-leading £26m new build unit, which has revolutionized radiotherapy and chemotherapy services for patients. The facility opened in December 2021 and now provides over 10,000 patient treatments a year.

JAMIE JAMISON

Technical specialist

Jamie has almost 40 years' experience in the software industry.  He has worked for the last 20 years on web-enabled, hosted modelling, reporting, Online Transaction Processing, Business-to-Business and Business-to-Consumer systems, developing and managing infrastructure and solutions.

 

Jamie has experience in a variety of sectors including stints with the NHS and with Healthcare consultancies.  He has a particular interest in data management and reporting; turning raw data into practical information to support decision-making.

 

Jamie runs his own data consultancy and has been involved in several start-ups.

VIVIENNE LAW

Associate Director / Healthcare Industry / Insights

Vivienne is a senior executive with over 25 years’ experience working in pharmaceutical and healthcare from market research, market access and health economic perspectives. She has a track record of providing insights to challenges that drive decision making.

Vivienne works as a consultant with associate partners conducting ad hoc projects that require evidence-based insights and solutions. She has conducted a large number of both patient and healthcare professional centred projects using mixed methodologies (personal and digital)  to reach an outcome.

She has worked in a FTSE 100 pharma company in their Global respiratory team as well as heading up the EU Division of a Global market research agency. She therefore has a clear understanding of pharma company needs as well how to execute projects from an agency perspective. Over the last 10 years she has worked across the EU, North and Latin America and therefore has a good understanding of the different healthcare systems and is adept in utilising and interpreting different datasets across multiple markets to answer critical research questions.

SALLY-ANNE TURNER

Information Governance

Since leaving school Sally-Anne worked for over 23 years for Marks & Spencer where she went through the internal management training programme. She completed her service assisting in the opening of the second biggest store in the UK where she headed up various functions within that time – including the evening & through the night-time operations.  

 

Previous to this she worked as a store manager in various sites and undertook an elite management programme in London sponsored by the Marks & Spencer board of directors in order to head up a training role across a region of stores. 

 

During her time within commercial management she was also responsible for managing large teams of employees, (up to 300 persons), accountable for the P&L, staffing, sales/stock training, appraisals & interviewing. 

 

Following a career break to bring up a family she has since gone into a part time role working within her husband’s company, to co-ordinate all company logistics and to work as project manager on research studies. 

 

She recently successfully undertook the PMO role on a Demand & Capacity project undertaken by Healthcare Decisions for Hackney CCG

LIZ DARLINSON MBE

Advisory / Patient Advocacy /  Clinician

Liz is a Consultant Nurse at the University Hospitals of Leicester and Head of Services for Mesothelioma UK. Liz was awarded an MBE in the Queens 2019 Birthday Honours list in recognition of her contribution to patients and cancer research.

 

Clinically Liz is a core member of the Leicester Thoracic Oncology Multi-Disciplinary Team who provide a comprehensive mesothelioma management service to over 150 patients per year. Liz focuses particularly on mesothelioma disease surveillance and equitable access to the best treatment and care available, including clinical trials.

 

To meet demand locally and nationally Liz developed an interest in Mesothelioma which resulted in her being the founder of Mesothelioma UK. This national charity that was originally hosted by the University Hospitals of Leicester has established itself as an essential part of the UK Mesothelioma landscape as a centre of excellence providing specialist information, support and education.

Liz is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the DeMontfort University, Leicester and Honorary Research Fellow in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Sheffield.

DR HENRIETTE COETZER

Advisory / Clinician  / Healthcare Transformation / Data Analytic

As clinical informatics and health care consultant Henriette works with blue-chip and start-up companies in the US and UK on product development, pathway and analytic design and with clinicians on clinical change management.

As corporate employee Henriette worked in health care policy, clinical strategy, clinical informatics, high value care and population health management in the US and UK. Previous roles include: Chief Clinical Risk Officer Rowdmap, Global Medical Director Towers Watson, VP Clinical Analytics and Senior Medical Director BUPA and Health Dialog and Director of Clinical Transformation (NHS - CCG).

Previous Lead Clinician in a Level 1 Trauma and Medical Emergency unit. Currently working in Acute Internal Medicine.

Henriette keeps up to date with her clinical knowledge and skills. Has specific interest in the development of clinical AI and ML models.

Detailed and personal knowledge of the Healthcare systems, data and clinical practice in the US, UK, Canada and sub-Saharan Africa. Rapid critical appraisal skills, trained underwriter.

DAVID EWBANK

Advisory / Strategy / Market Access

David has 25 years experience in both consulting and industry roles. He started his consulting career at The Wilkerson Group in 1997 after several years at Pfizer Central Research.

David has extensive consulting experience leading the London operations at Executive Insight, AVOS Consulting (since acquired by Syneos) and CRA (an economics consultancy) delivering portfolio management, market access and commercial strategy projects for pharma, biotech, devices, diagnostics and digital health clients. In Industry, David was VP, Business Transformation and Alliance Management at Aventis prior to it’s acquisition by Sanofi and held various roles at Pfizer Central Research in UK.

David supports pharma/biotech, diagnostics, medical devices and digital health companies resolve challenges and optimise opportunities across the key stages of their brand value chains from early asset assessment through market development in anticipation of launch to franchise sustainability.

David’s roles have typically been supporting clients structure strategy projects and facilitating implementation working across organizational boundaries with a particular focus on enabling clients to develop go-to-market models that enable them to become a “partner in value” with health care ecosystems.

ANITA BURRELL

Advisory / Strategy / Market Access

Anita Burrell is a dynamic, passionate consultant as well as an adjunct assistant professor at Rutgers University and a regular speaker in the industry on health economics, market access and mHealth.

Anita has 23 years of leadership experience in a wide variety of roles and geographies.  She led Global Health Economics and Worldwide Pricing and Reimbursement for Sanofi. She led R&D and brought Aubagio, the oral MS therapy to market ahead of schedule. Her experience also includes Commercial Operational Effectiveness for the Global Diabetes Business Unit.

As a consultant Anita has helped companies to:

  • Understand market dynamics and payer behavior in hospital products, immunology and endocrinology products in the top 11 markets including Europe and the US

  • Design big data platforms to deliver value in terms of solutions for regional sales variations

  • Develop predictive models to inform HTA submissions on key drivers of success

  • Understand the implications of digital health and possibilities to use behavioral economics to enhance patient engagement and adherence

  • Establish credibility for Global Market Access Insights through thought leadership, strategic vision and producing three product lines within 9 months

  • Understand the Global Evolution of the Biosimilar Market and prepare for the future implications in Europe and the United States.

DR ANN YORK

Advisory / Leadership / Clinician

Dr Ann York has over 25 years front-line experience in working in children and young people’s mental health in London.  Alongside this, she has been involved in service transformation, strategic and policy development for over 20 years, including internationally.

She currently works full time in quality improvement and holds a portfolio of advisory/leadership roles including with Healthy London Partnership the CYP IAPT Collaborative in the South West (clinical lead) CORC and very recently with CQC, NHSE/I in the South East and QNCC She was co-chair of the Data and Standards group as part of Future in Mind development and more recently care pathway and standards work for the National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health. She chaired the Expert Advisory Group for the NHSE CAMHS Currency Phase 1 and Phase 2 project. She sits on the NHSE/I Optimising CYPMHS Workstream steering group. She is a co-author of and trainer on the Thrive Framework. She is co-developer of and trainer for the Choice and Partnership Approach (CAPA).

Her passion is to support services to develop into ones that are excellent for people and their families.

JEFF KIRSCH

Advisory /  Strategy / Quality

Since qualifying as a Pharmacist in 1980 and completing his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Jeff has held senior positions within Country Commercial, Research & Development, and Global Medical business units at Glaxo SmithKline and its heritage companies. During this time Jeff established himself as an experienced Health Outcomes researcher implementing health economics, health outcomes and real-world studies across many therapeutic areas.

As Senior Director Governance and Quality Risk Management, Jeff applied process quality improvement methods for health outcomes and real-world evidence study processes including: - economic modelling; patient centred outcomes development and translations; retrospective and prospective non-interventional studies; safety reporting; study documentation and informed consent procedures. Jeff also improved processes for Information Security, Privacy and Data Integrity across GSK’s Global Medical Division.

Jeff recently became an independent consultant, helping organisations that generate Health Economics, Health Outcomes and Real-World evidence, to develop and improve the quality of their study processes. He also advises on all aspects of quality management systems for these types of study.

 

Jeff served as an advisor to the DIA working group developing a standard Real-World Study Document Index and is a member of the UK Research Quality Association.
